We all have a story- including you + your brand.

It’s time to share it!

storytelling is my passion.

Here’s the full story…

The early 90s were hands down some of the best years of my life! On any given day you would find me, a toothless redhead, exploring the outdoors with friends making our wildest dreams a reality. We were a neighborhood gang of nearly 10, starting everything from businesses to fights (and even fires, sorry Mom)- just to make sure the world around us could supply our creativity cravings and thirst for adventure.

One classic memory that I’ve shared over the years happened one day in the yard at our neighborhood headquarters- Aunt Dy’s house. At her house, is where all the magic in our little lives happened! On this particular day, in my Little Tikes kitchen, I whipped up a mud pie to perfection! And even though I was the master baker of this pie, I wasn’t nearly crazy enough to attempt to partake in it. So what did I do? I convinced the daredevil of the group (let’s call him H), to have a slice. It didn’t take much, I had a savvy tongue then and without question he took a bite! What a sight! We all erupted in laughter, as H had no clue the pie contained a surprise frog within it. (Yuck!)

So what does this mud pie story have to do with anything?

Well, EVERYTHING! It’s one of the moments I realized the power that makes The Authentic Messenger possible- the power to persuade and equally share timeless stories. After sifting through corporate America successfully selling everything from paint to tires, I cultivated the skills of sales and marketing. I also did it in a way that was true to me, and never did I have to trick anyone or do anything that didn’t feel authentic to me.

While it always felt like a place of great talent, it never felt like a home of deep purpose.

Enough was enough. In 2016, I decided to use my gift of conversation to create a podcast that could give others a platform to share their journeys. This was my first official launch into entrepreneurship and thankfully I have been able to interview more than 50 ambitious young melanated professionals from across the US.

Fulfilled by storytelling, I still felt in my spirit that I could do MORE.

And that’s when I recognized this incredible gap- the brand gap. This is an unfortunate space where clarity has prevented really dope business owners from going to the next chapter of their story, filled with opportunity and visibility.

What could happen if they had someone on their team to complement their vision with marketing and public relations expertise? The thought of those possibilities thrusted me into business- and that’s where The Authentic Messenger was born. I want entrepreneurs to know that there is brilliance in their stories, even if there are mud pies involved. Once we extract that story and embrace clarity, you can move confidently towards that next chapter.

As an entrepreneur myself, I know what it’s like to wear too many hats, yet still feel unsure of who to trust with your vision.

I would never want to skew your truth, but package it for the right audiences. I love people and with a damn good story, I can deliver that brilliance to those who want to tell good stories. My only regret in life is that I didn’t realize this sooner... thanks H!

My clients have been featured on national television, industry publications, and have won awards that once were apart of their wildest dreams. While every client’s results differ due to the different strategies we implement- they are all seeing visibility and are gaining the credibility they’ve worked hard to earn.

If you’re reading this, you, too, could be seeing these types of results by working with me- authentically!

From mud pies to marketing and public relations…. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Enough about me- What’s your story?
